elyann: I had posted this photo 2 months ago on my blog here. Tonight, I find it again on another blog which I now follow and discover that both the source and the link-through have changed to be linked to this blog which I wont name for the sake of being diplomatic (it’s NOT the one I’ve reblogged from, I just found it there). I want to say one thing though. When I post a photograph originally myself, I always link back to the source and credit the original photographer or whatever is there to be credited. I don’t take credit for the photo, but I do take the credit for finding it, and the only thing I do is have the link-through link back to my blog; but the source links to where I found it originally. Unless I’ve re-blogged it from someone else, I take time to find the things I post on a variety of websites so, yes, it annoys me to find out that someone was now taking credit and making the source of this photo their blog without even having the original photographer credited for it like I had (which in this case the copyright to this photo goes to Victoria Cherlenyuk); and furthermore when it’s neither their blog, nor mine the source, but the ACTUAL website I got it from (in this case 500px.com). I have now changed back the source to its original one, which in fact links to where this photo was found. The link-through is to my blog, because well I posted it originally. I wish tumblr would change this feature and make it impossible for people to change the links the original blogger created. It’s not fair for people who post their own photography, nor for those like me, who credit the photographer and post the photograph to share it with everyone else as they took time to find it. Whichever way you look at it, I think it’s plagiarism.
